Antenatal Education Sessions

Antenatal education sessions help you make informed choices about your labour and birth and promote confidence in parenting. They also give you an opportunity to think about your relationship with your developing baby during pregnancy and in the early weeks and months of the baby’s life.

A team of midwives, a physiotherapist and other health professionals facilitate the group sessions. The sessions are relaxed and informal with a mix of information giving and discussion. The education team welcomes questions and is happy to answer individual queries following the sessions. These sessions are held on afternoons and evenings.

The sessions are open to all expectant parents and one to one sessions can be arranged with an education team midwife for those parents for which a group is not suitable.
