Stop Smoking Service

Pregnancy Stop Smoking Service

Stopping smoking in pregnancy is one of the best things a mother can do to benefit her health and the health of her baby.

Our specialist midwives are available to provide evidence based information, support, advice and encouragement for mothers who decide to stop smoking in pregnancy.

We offer friendly, confidential, non-judgemental advice and support to help you to stop smoking during pregnancy.

Carbon monoxide (CO) readings are now part of the normal antenatal booking process with all mums having their CO levels recorded at booking. In accordance with NICE guidelines all smokers, those with high CO readings, or those who have recently stopped smoking, will be referred to our Specialist Midwifery Team for further appointments and follow-up support.
